Taos Horse Getaways has new accommodations!

In addition to our 2 small casitas we are adding a rustic log cabin and 3 living Quarter Trailer/RV sites! These additions are located on our 160 acre ranch here in Tres Piedras, NM.

The ranch is surrounded by the Carson National Forest. It is 1 1/2 miles long with Ponderosa pine trees and Juniper trees dotting it's rolling landscape. There is a great set of rock formations that are fantastic to climb and walk all over! We have 5 gates located on the ranch so one can ride or walk into the Carson National Forest from all directions. The views to the east are incredible...Taos mountain is beautiful!!

The sunrises are always breathtaking and the sunsets here in New Mexico are fantastic.

The history of this property was a homestead that was granted to the original owner in 1918. They once grew wheat, barley, and potatoes here. The wildlife here are turkeys, mule deer, elk, bobcats, black bear, tassel eared squirrels, goshawks, red-tailed hawks, and even an occasional bald or golden eagle.

The trails here are old logging roads, drainage paths in the canyons, cattle/elk trails and a couple of marked trails completed by Backcountry Horseman. We do have maps for you to use while you're visiting.

The Ranch Cabin:


The Cabin was built in the early 1970's and has two bedrooms (1 queen bed and 2 twin beds), living room(2 couches can be used for sleeping), a full kitchen, and a wash area. The only running water is at the kitchen sink, water must be brought in for bathing. Please remember to empty the bucket under the sink!

Out near the cabin is our GORGEOUS outhouse and a wonderful shower. There is also a good size paddock next to the cabin if you're bringing horses.

Living Quarter Trailers/RV's:


 This is no KOA, so we only have electric and water for 3 rigs. We do not have pads for trailers so one must be able to level their own trailer. There are paddocks (green corral panels, heavy, safe, and secure) near the trailer area with water buckets for your horses.

Tent Camping with Horses:
For those who love to go camping with their horses and don't require electric but want water and corrals for horses and no crowds you've come to the right ranch! We will show you some nice spots to set up your tent or park your small camper/ horse trailer near our corrals and water.

Rates:

Ranch Cabin - $150.00 per night with a 2 night minimum (max 6 people).

Trailer Camping - $ 50.00 per night per rig.

Tent Camping - $25.00 per night per tent/camper.
